The Eastern Shore Long Term
Recovery Committee

The Eastern Shore Long Term Recovery Committee was established in December of 2012 following the event of Superstorm Sandy on October 29, 2012. It was originally named the Somerset County Long Term Recovery Committee.

The Long Term Recovery Committee assisted communities in Somerset County to reach recovery by:
• Repairing over 300 homes
• Building 21 new homes
• Working alongside of the County building 32 new homes
• Elevating 11 homes out of the flood plane
• Holding 4 Camp Noahs for 200 children
• Providing Emotional and Spiritual Care
