Crisfield Stormwater Flood Improvement Plan

Objective:
Develop a planning-level strategy to reduce stormwater flooding risks.
Key Tasks:

Task 1: Data Compilation: Gather GIS layers, flood data, surveys from federal, state & local sources.

Task 2: Field Survey: Starting August 11, inventory ~500 stormwater structures using RTK GPS for accurate mapping.

Task 3: Flood Modeling: Simulate existing conditions and identify flooding risks (2-, 10-, 100-year storms) using XPSWMM/PCSWMM.

Task 4: Improvement Plan: Propose conceptual measures (e.g., upsizing, detention retrofits, LID, pump stations) with preliminary cost estimates.

Task 5: Report Preparation: Deliver draft & final reports with findings, maps, and recommendations.
Timeline: Estimated project completion Dec 2026.
